For those of you who would like to know some biographical information about Mr. Morrison please keep reading. I was born in Berkeley, California in 1969. My first name, Lovall, was created because the summer of 1967 was the summer of love and my parents met in 67 and were into that sort of social experience. I started my formal education at Lin-Wood elementary in Woodstock, NH. I was enrolled in second grade. Previously I was home schooled. For the entirety of my public school education grades 2-12 I was at Lin-Wood or home schooled. My parents traveled the country and took me with them. My classroom teachers accommodated this itinerant lifestyle and also provided me with more typical US social norms than I learned in my household. I would not have become a teacher without the collective effort of these wonderful teachers.
I received a BS in Applied Mathematics with a Minor in physics from Plymouth State College in 1994. I got married (1994) and had my first son in 1995. I then received a Teaching Assistantship at UNH in their PhD in Mathematics program. I left that program in 1997 with an MS in mathematics. I worked in Stratford, NH from 1997 to 2002. I was the high school math teacher. My second son was born in 1998. I was the head coach of the varsity baseball team in 98, 99 and 00. When a new teacher who knew how to pitch arrived I demoted myself to assistant coach for 01 and 02. Stratford’s record in those five seasons was 1 – 75. We had zero players ejected in my 5 years. Some months we only had nine players, sometimes one of them was in 8th grade. We never forfeited a game. I taught as adjunct faculty at Plymouth State University in 03-04. In the fall of 04 Profile hired me as a one year fill in for Mrs. Knighton, pretty much on the recommendation of Mrs. Knighton. I am forever grateful to the four towns that make up Profile for keeping me around ever since. Thank you one and all. |
