Lori grew up in the lovely Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, where she taught before Profile. After hiking 800 miles of the Appalachian Trail, she decided to move to the more rugged and remote White Mountains. She has her Masters in English Education from Western New England University, but still continues her education, and believes learning is a lifelong activity. Lori had an opportunity to participate in the Appalachian Trail Conservancy’s Trails to Every Classroom, and the National Parks Service’s Boots to Boats, which emphasized place based service learning. Lori enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, cycling, and canoeing.
