Bill Brusseau attended St. Joseph’s College in North Windham, ME where he studied Sociology during his freshman year then transferred to Plymouth State College (now PSU) to study Child Psychology. He took a gap year that currently stands at 32, Bill found his passion in the fire service where he served at Littleton Fire-Rescue for 23 years as both a firefighter and emergency medical technician, 14 of those as a front line officer with the rank of Lieutenant. Of the varied duties and responsibilities that these positions incurred, Bill also spear-headed the department’s Juvenile Firesetter Program. He became a NH State Staff Fire Instructor for the NH Fire Academy in 2000 and traveled the state to help educate the new recruits as well as the seasoned members of the fire service. Additionally, he has been an American Heart Association BLS Instructor since 1999 and has served as Training Center Faculty in the Northern Region for 16 years. After retiring from the fire service in late 2015, Bill wanted to be able to help the north country communities where he and his family reside; he found that substitute teaching was a way to accomplish that desire. He worked for several schools until he found a home at Profile Jr/Sr High in the fall of 2017.
