ACADEMIC EXPECTATIONS Students are expected to - take responsibility for their own learning - be proficient readers - think critically - speak effectively - write effectively - be technologically literate - be proficient in processing information - be proficient in the use of computation skills - demonstrate inductive and deductive reasoning skills - demonstrate a general foundation of knowledge - value academic work and its life long application - develop organizational skills	FACULTY EXPECTATIONS The faculty is expected to - be skilled in varied methodologies, both traditional and contemporary - be a contributing member of the faculty and the school community - create and maintain an engaging and effective classroom - strive for excellent performances in teaching and learning - strive to stay current regarding developments in their field through continuing and meaningful professional development which directly improves student learning - act intelligently, sensitively, and compassionately - be a role model and mentor for colleagues and students - be appropriately responsive to all constituent groups
ADMINISTRATIVE EXPECTATIONS The administration is expected to - be a supportive resource for staff and students -strive for excellence -be proficient in the execution of duties -be a role model, mentor and professional example -act fairly and objectively in all decisions -be responsive to students, faculty and parents -implement the policies of the school board, ensure the competence and high qualifications of our faculty and staff - ensure that high ethical standards are maintained	PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS Students are expected to - understand the value of physical fitness and good health throughout their lives - understand the importance of participation regardless of individual skill level\ - understand different ways that one can achieve and maintain personal wellness - recognize and appreciate the beauty inherent in all physical activity
